Curious angus cattle shine in the sun in this unique pasture portrait. I usually avoid photographing in the middle of the day when the sun is bright and harsh. Most photographers do. This day, I saw some healthy looking cattle in a beautiful pasture in Montana. I stopped to say hi and took a few pictures. To expose the black cows correctly meant the background would bleach out to a white, dream-like landscape. When editing this image, I was surprised how much I was drawn to it. It has become my most popular print with customers as well!
